Water Softener is a process of removing Calcium and Magnesium ions from water. Calcium and Magnesium are the hardness forming component of water. When hard water is passed through resin in Sodium form, Ca and Mg ions are exchanged for equivalent Na ions. The water which now contains only Sodium ions is called soft water. The soft water is then used as a feed water to low and medium pressure boiler, RO systems and also for Laundries and other application.

DUPLEX water softener system

for Continuous operation is design for using continuously 24 hours a day. This water softener system also consists two main units; the resin columns and brine tanks. But here more resin columns are necessary to ensuring the continuous supply of soft water, while the rest (brine tank holds the sale) which required for regenerates of the ion exchange resin.

The principle of the water softener:

The ion-exchange water softeners using an ion exchange resin organic compound technology which dissolved calcium and magnesium ions in the water and replaced by sodium ions. With this technology, the solution is maintained and water cannot precipitate hardness minerals under any circumstances.
